Shatta Wale is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall musician who began his career in 2004. He was born on October 17, 1984 in Accra, Ghana to Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr and Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. His father is a politician, businessman and legal practitioner.
Shatta Wale finished primary school in 1999 at Seven Great Princess Academy in Dansoman. He continued his education at Winneba secondary school from 1999 to 2002 after successfully completing his basic education.He is best known for his singles “Dancehall King,” “My Level,” “We Taking Over,” and “On God,” among others. He rebranded himself from “Bandana” to Shatta Wale in 2013 after going down the drain and burying himself for ten years.

After serving two weeks in prison, Shatta Wale released a song titled “Jail Man” in which he talks about his struggles in prison and how he laid down his life for others in order for pastors to stop giving false prophecies.
