Celebrated artist Shatta Wale is set headline at Emmanuel Adebayor’s highly anticipated retirement concert in Togo.
The concert named the ‘Jubilee Celebration’, is scheduled on June 19 at the Stade de Kegue in Lome and will celebrate Adebayor’s illustrious football career.
The ‘Jubilee Celebration’ concert will not only honour Adebayor’s achievements and contributions to football, but will also reflect on Togo’s rich cultural heritage, with Shatta Wale’s performance to climax the festivities.
It is expected to gather a large throng of fans, other athletes, and notable people from many sports and entertainment industries.
A youth marathon and a special female football tournament are among the other events planned for Adebayor’s Jubilee celebration, which will take place before Shatta Wale and other renowned artists perform.
A promotional video on Adebayor’s TikTok page showed the ‘On God’ singer announcing his participation in the concert.
He expressed his pleasure and appreciation to the former Arsenal and Tottenham striker for including him in his concert, and he indicated that he is ready to attend.

Adebayor officially announced his retirement from professional football in 2023, along with a celebration, however it was postponed to 2024 for unclear reasons.
The 40-year-old issued a lengthy statement thanking all of the teams he has played for, as well as his home country’s football team, the Togolese National Team.
