Ghanaian controversial blogger and critic, Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas, has highlighted how Stonebwoy has benefited from the NPP government held by Akufo Addo’s administration.
According to him, the ruling National Progressive Party (NPP) has bought and paid for the singer since coming to power.
This follows Stonebwoy’s recent invitation to the Black Star’s farewell dinner before the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire.

The event saw several significant figures, including Afua Asantewaa and President Nana Akufo-Addo, among others.
However, Bongo Ideas alleged that Stonebwoy has been favoured in giving all of the big shows, which explains the Burniton Music Group boss’ strong allegiance with the political party.

He emphasised that the ‘Into the Future’ hitmaker has been closely monitored for defending everything poor from the NPP government and failing to criticise the party all in the name of his parochial interests.
In his words below:
Stonebwoy is the new ‘NPP artist” replacing Sarkodie
– 2018, invited to the Jubilee House
– Appointed as Member of Internal Entertainment board
– Performs at exclusive parties of NPP bigwigs
– Receives all entertainment gigs from the state
– 2018-2023: Reportedly paid GHC1.5M for govt-sponsored shows
– Has a diplomatic passport & travels usually state-sponsored e.g AFCON 2023
– Currently the darling boy of the Ministry & Presidency, reason Efya dems not booked
– He even defended Meek Mill shooting video in Jubilee House
Stonebwoy is the truest definition of political hypocrisy; he has been bought and paid for by the govt!
