Denmark-based Ghanaian singer Agatha Oduro, popularly known as Wicked Queen J, has boldly claimed that Ghanaian reggae artist Stonebwoy isn’t as internationally recognized as many believe.
In recent interview blogger Zionfelix, Wicked Queen J states that, despite all the hype Stonebwoy receives in the Ghanaian media, he hasn’t achieved the level of global exposure that would qualify him as an international artist.
She pointed out that while she has shared stages with renowned artists at major events in Denmark, where she resides, Stonebwoy hasn’t performed on such prominent platforms.
She made this statement in response to the notion that “Stonebwoy is bigger” than her, a claim she disagrees with.
“Stonebwoy isn’t bigger than me,” she stated. “What does he have that I don’t? People say he’s international, but I live internationally. The places he comes to perform, I’m already playing big shows there, while he’s performing in basements.”
Queen J challenging Stonebwoy international status noted that Denmark has over 30 major platforms, yet Stonebwoy hasn’t performed widely across these venues. “So he isn’t at that level yet,” she concluded.
She also urged fans to stop comparing Stonebwoy to Shatta Wale, arguing that Shatta Wale, known for his hit “On God,” has achieved a stronger international presence than any other Ghanaian artist.

Wicked Queen J, who launched her music career in 2019, is best known for songs like “My Hero,” “Wicked,” and “Ayew.”
Despite being a musician, she owns the record label Jahsigfamily and organizes an annual event in Copenhagen, the Afro DressUp Festival, held at Central City Hall.
