The funeral rites for Justine Agbenu, the second victim of the tragic East Legon accident, were held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
The heartbreaking incident that claimed the lives of two young Ghanaians including Maame Dwomoh Boaten left the nation mourning.
Justine Agbenu, a 12-year-old girl believed to be her mother’s only child, was laid to rest beside her co-victim, Maame Dwomoh Boaten, in a private burial ceremony.
While Maame Dwomoh Boaten had already been interred, Justine’s funeral took place at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra, attended by friends, family, and sympathizers.
The ceremony was filled with sorrow, as mourners were seen weeping profusely. Sad scenes from the event captured the deep grief felt by all who attended.
A clergy member offered final respects and prayers for Justine before her body, placed in a casket, was taken to the cemetery for burial.

Both Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh Boaten lost their lives in a devastating accident on October 12, 2024 caused by Elrad Amoako, the son of Salifu Amoako.
Erald is currently under police protection at the 37 Military Hospital following the crash that shocked the community.
