Despite his efforts and energy to accomplish a new record, Rafiwu allegedly fainted on a stopover during his mission to break and set the GWC record from Techiman to Accra.

Rafiwu Seidu’s main aim is to break the current Guinness World Record holder for Walkathon, set in September 1976 by Jesse Casteneda of America after walking a distance of 228.930 km.

Report by Yen.com.gh suggests that, the second goal was to try a 96-hour walking marathon in which he would walk to Accra in four days in order to promote peace and earn funds to pay for the expenses of certain poor hospital patients.

A viral video circulating on the internet, mainly on X, shows Rafiwu being accompanied by an ambulance on his route to Independence Square, as many people were in a state of joy.

Seidu Rafiwu successfully finished his walking marathon after arriving at the grounds, as heard in the background of the video posted by EDHUB.

Many Ghanaians flooded social media with congratulatory remarks for the young and visionary man.

NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD(ATTEMPT): After 96 hours walking on foot from Bono Region through Ashanti Region and Eastern Region, Seidu Rafiwu has successfully ended his journey at the Independence Square, Accra covering over 380km in 96 hours.
