Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has spoken for the first time as he reacts to Sarkodie’s controversial rap song ‘Brag’.
In a TikTok live video session with fans, Shatta Wale asked Sarkodie what and where he had gotten to despite reaching the peak of his musical career since making his debut in Ghana’s music scene.
This comes after Sark claimed supremacy in his ‘Brag’ to spite Nigerian artists such as Davido, Asake, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, among others.
The lyrics provoked heated debates, causing Nigerian rappers such as Dremo and Chin Ekun to vent their anger on Ghana’s rap legend by releasing many diss songs against him.
Shatta Wale questioned Sarkodie’s legendary status in a late response to the May release of ‘Brag,’ in which he claims ‘he was there before’ the aforementioned Nigerian counterparts.
According to him, despite Sarkodie’s fame as a rapper, he should not have made such a statement based on his prior glories and achievements.
He criticised the Adonai singer, claiming that he fails and falls short in the business side of music, despite the fact that many people assume he knows everything.
He urged Sarkodie’s fans to be loyal to themselves and not be deceived by their idol in the name of branding.
