Born on 17th July 1999, Chillyn began his bodybuilding and weightlifting career at an early age, exercising at a local gym using mostly metal and block equipment.
Growing up in Effia Kuma, a suburb of Takoradi in the western region, Chillyn was raised by his Liberian-Ghanaian parents.
He attended a primary school and completed his senior high school education at Fijai Secondary School in Takoradi.
He rose to fame after making his debut in Ghana’s Strongest Champions of Champions competition in 2021, finishing fourth

On August Sunday, August 4, Chillyn was crowned the winner of the 2024 Ghana’s Strongest in the men’s category competition after demonstrating exceptional improvement and commitment in his third appearance at the event.
Chillyn achieved a significant turning point by defeating Abass Salu, also known as Fit Salu, and Bismarck Simpson, aka Venom, in his first professional weightlifting competition.
