Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy has turned down a staggering $1 million offer to collaborate with his long-time rival Shatta Wale, insisting the amount is not enough to bring the two giants together in the studio.
The rejection came after American-based social media commentator Darlington Adams presented the lucrative proposal during a recent interview.
Adams asked Stonebwoy whether he would accept a million dollars to feature Shatta Wale on a song.
“You are a business guy, so I’m giving you a million dollars to put you and Shatta Wale on a song. Will you do it or not?” Adams asked.
Stonebwoy’s response was swift and firm: “A million dollars is not enough.”
The statement has ignited heated debates among fans and music lovers worldwide. While some applaud Stonebwoy for standing his ground, others believe he missed a massive opportunity to end one of Ghana’s most famous feuds.
Social media platforms have been flooded with contrasting opinions with supporters praising Stonebwoy for valuing his brand above money.
Critics argue that he should have taken the deal for unity’s sake while some view it as a missed chance to heal the divide.
This remark stems from a question Darlington Adams asked as to whether he is ready to patch things up with Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy stated emphatically that he does not have a definitive answer, adding that the question remains assumptive for him and many fans.
“I don’t have an answer to that because it’s an assumption,” he said.
His comments suggest that while he remains open to reconciliation, it would have to happen on his own terms and certainly not for a million dollars
The Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale feud is one of the most enduring rivalries in Ghanaian entertainment history.
Fans have long hoped for a collaboration that would symbolize unity in the Ghanaian music industry. However, Stonebwoy’s latest comments suggest that the rift may not be healed anytime soon.
