Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, known for her successful singathon, met with American-Senegalese singer and executive music producer Akon in Ivory Coast.
A video that has gone viral on the internet captures the adorable moment when Asantewaa sang Akon’s song perfectly and he looked happily surprised with a subtle smile.
The newly appointed tourism ambassador shared her admiration for the “Ghetto” hitmaker on social media, expressing that she’s a fan of Akon since childhood.
The reason behind their meeting is known but many hope it will something significant to Ghana since Asantewaa is being appointed as Tourism Ambassador.
Asantewaa is not officially included in the Guinness Book of World Records, after her historic singathon attempt by singing for an impressive 126 hours and 52 minute.
This is a feat that breaks Alan Fisher’s previous record of his 119 hours.

Meanwhile, Chef Faila, who was criticized for her ‘disappointment’ comments about the absence of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Samini at the Tamale Cookathon attempt, clarified that her remarks had been misunderstood.
In a recent interview on TV3, Faila claimed many misinterpreted her comment leading to numerous backlashes from sections of Ghanaian thinking it was an attack on the aforementioned musicians
