Patricia Aseidu Asiamah popularly known as Nana Agradaa was released after 8 months in prison because she qualified for early release under Ghana’s good-conduct remission policy.
She walked free from Nsawam Medium Security Prison on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 following her 15-year jail sentence reduction by Amasaman High Court
Prior her release, the court found her guilty of Charlatanic advertising, defrauding by false pretence, multiple fraud-related offences.
She was also fined 200 penalty units (GHS2,400) and ordered to refund GHS1,000 for her two complaints as part of her revised punishment.
The Court confirmed the conviction but significantly reduced the length of her jail sentence imposed earlier in February 5 because of the harsh and excessive length of the term.
Agradaa’s release decision comes after she has spent seven months of her 12-month custodial jail term, which began on the day of her first conviction.
Following her release, Agradaa reconnected with her husband Asiamah and family at home, where she was captured in a viral social media video spending a rare moment with them.
Nsawam residents were also captured in a state of happiness jubilating on the roadside with their cars on display.
