The leader and founder of Shiloh Prayer Service, Pastor Eliezer Oswald Awuyeh, has said that Christian Atsu should have given his money to the church instead the poor.
Many people who benefited from the late Chrisitan Atsu’s generosity lauded and praised him. Many people have expressed their gratitude to Christian Atsu on social media.
However, the man of God argued to his congregation that the late player had fallen short of God’s glory because, instead of paying his tithes to the church, he spent his money on the less privileged in society.
Speaking further, Pastor Eliezer stated that the Bible gave clear and precise instructions in the Bible that tithes should be given to the church and not to poor people.

The man of God insisted that Atsu spent huge fortunes on poor people just to make them comfortable while ignoring the house of God. He added that Atsu’s kind gestures and hospitability will not earn him a Heavenly reward because God’s attention was far from him. Watch the video here via Ghpage Instagram.
In other news, Ghana Football Association is considering retiring the number 7 jersey at the Black Stars in honour of the late Christian Atsu.
Atsu who lost his life through Turkey devastating earthquake to be honored with Black Stars Jersey No.7 by the GFA.
Speaking on Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Linford Boadu, who is Chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association (RFA), revealed the Ghana FA’s intention to retire the number 7 shirt in honour of Atsu.
According to Boadu, he thinks the former Chelsea star wasn’t satisfied with his club’s infrastructure in Turkey as a result of his death at the Reinessance building, which collapsed due to the earthquake.
“It’s a sad situation. I wasn’t expecting Atsu to be staying in that big apartment like that, I was expecting him to be staying in a single apartment but I think there wasn’t stability after joining the club in Turkey”-he said
Linford Baadu explained why the team’s number 7 jersey should be reserved in remembrance of the late Christian Atsu, he said: “It was difficult to believe anybody can survive after that 45 seconds earthquake but we were hoping to find Atsu alive until news broke he has been found dead. He served the nation wholeheartedly, and at the short ceremony in receiving the body of Atsu, the vice President, Dr Bawumia disclosed government will be involved in giving him a befitting burial. That is a big plus, to me, Atsu deserves a befitting burial looking at how he served the nation.
He added : “The Executive council of the FA is thinking about of a lot of things; some thinks the number 7 jersey must be retired in honour of Atsu but there should be a meeting to decide.
