Reggae-dancehall musician, Ras Kuuku has claimed that Black Sherif saved Sarkodie and other artists’ careers by making them to win an award at the 24th edition of the VGMAs.
Ras Kuuku told Cookie Tee and Berla Mundi on TV3′s New Day on Monday, May 8, that it was Black Sherif who saved Sarkodie and other notable artists after their award win at the 2023 VGMAs.
Ras Kuuku’s claims against Sarkodie stems from the rapper’s collaboration with Black Sherif on “Country Side,” song which won “Best Collaboration of the Year” at the recognised award ceremony.
He went further to explain that Blacko deserved to win the Artist of the Year award because he worked extremely hard in 2022 with his debut album as well as his digital stream numbers.
In other news, Stonebwoy subtly jabbed Black Sherif during his acceptance speech at the 2023 VGMAs.
According to Stonebwoy, he heard Black Sherif soliciting his support and pushing Ras Kuku to win the “Best Reggae Artist of the Year” Award category ahead of him when the nominees were announced.
When dedicating his award win to Shatta Wale, Samini, Rocky Dawuni, and others. Stonebwoy also paid a tribute to late reggae-dancehall musician, Rudebwoy Ranking, who recently died away, for his support to the reggae dancehall fraternity.
“I’ve been winning awards but i was there and heard Black Sherif shouting Poum Poum Poum “ Stonebwoy said after being announced as the winner of Reggae Artist of the year.
