Dancehall star, Shatta Wale appears to be uncomfortable with the way Safo Newman dressed, as he suggests a rebranding for the singer.
According to him, Safo Newman needs a proper brand so his management should stop dressing him like he just closed from security job because, his clothing choices is weird.
This comes after Shatta Wale questioned Safo Newman’s management during a live TikTok with fans, claiming that they do not take his artistic brand properly.
The multiple award-winning artist thinks that Newman’s brand is not appealing everytime he appears on television for an interview.
He then chastised Safo Newman’s management for not taking the young Ghanaian act’s branding and marketing seriously rather than depending on exposure despite his fame.
He also criticised some industry gatekeepers for failing to support the ‘Akokoa’ hitmaker for a major brand.
“We’re enjoying Black Sherif’s songs, and they discovered Safo Newman. Instead of having someone stand on his grounds to rebrand and promote him to the core…. They’ve allowed him to sit on radio and television sets for interviews while wearing a cap and dressed as a security guard in his uniform who had just closed from work’ – Shatta Wale stated.
Shatta Wale reaffirmed his point on how Nigerian music executive producer Don Jazzy grooms his young talents, polishing them before unveiling them on screens.
“Do you think Don Jazzy will do that? No! He usually takes good care of his boys and feeds them with nice clothes in order to rebrand them rather than live them as they were” — Shatta Wale said.
