Otto Addo Resigns As Black Stars Coach

Coach Otto Addo reportedly stepped down as Ghana Coach on Friday, December 2, following the Black Stars’ elimination from the Qatar 2022 World Cup. 

This happens in a few hours Uruguay defeated Ghana 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Al Janoub Stadium in Group H. 

Otto Addo’s first starting eleven against Uruguay was initially questioned because he made two changes that raised eyebrows on his squad.

Before to the two goals that cost Ghana their deficit, Kudus Mohammed was fouled in the 18-yard area, and Ghana was awarded a penalty.

Ghana’s captain, Andre Dede Ayew, took the penalty kick, but Uruguay’s goalie stopped it giving the South Americans hope to overturn the match with the final score 2:0.

Ghanaian football fans have been furious since Dede Ayew’s penalty miss, urging the Al Sadd midfielder to leave the Black Stars immediately after causing them pain.

However, following the devastating loss and elimination of the Black Stars against Uruguay in the group stage in Qatar, reliable sources are now claiming Otto Addo is reportedly to have quit as Black Stars coach.

For the time being, it is unclear why Otto Addo resigned from the team as reliable sources confirmed that this  decision was made following Ghana’s defeat and the team’s exit  from the World Cup.
