Ghanaian singer Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known by her stage name Mzbel, has expressed her belief that if not for the tragic early passing of Castro, his musical career could have risen to the same heights as that of Burna Boy.
Mzbel emphasized Castro’s strong work ethic and believed that achieving success in the music industry would have come naturally to him.
During an interview on Kingdom FM, the artist behind the hit song “16 years” confidently stated that Castro possessed a wealth of talent and potential, which would have undoubtedly led to a prosperous career.
“Because he is always working. He would try many times on whatever he wanted to do, his energy on stage, his voice and he is unique in his own way. So if he was still alive, Ghanaians would have had our own Burna Boy”, she told Fiiff Pratt.
Before Castro’s disappearance in July 2014, he shared a close bond with Mzbel. His career was thriving at the time, but tragedy struck when he was reported to have drowned along with Miss Janet Bandu in a Jet Ski accident at the Ada Estuary while on vacation.
Despite locating the remains of the Jet Ski, the bodies of Castro and Janet remain undiscovered by the police.
It has been nine long years since this heartbreaking incident occurred. After seven years of missing, Hiplife star, Castro Under Fire was officially declared dead.
