The rescue and search team for the Turkey earthquake has found Christian Atsu‘s government-issued passport under the rubble. 

The discovery of the passport under the rubble comes after a report earlier today claimed that Atsu ran to his car before his building collapsed.

In the early hours of Friday, February 17, 2023, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng reported that new CCTV footage taken before the earthquake and obtained from Hatayspor club surfaced online.

A report from Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng who reveled on the Crime Check Foundation’s official YouTube channel that he obtained an official statement from Atsu’s club Hatayspor, which was confirmed by CCTV footage taken before the earthquake.

In the report, Ibrahim said : “Christian Atsu managed to get out of the first earthquake at 4:17 am on February 6, 2023 because he had not slept at that time. He later ran to the parking garage to get his car out and it was during that period (20 minutes later) that the Reinessance building totally collapsed.

Many Christian Atsu fans and football fans were dissatisfied with the numerous reports that have been circulating on the internet urging people to see the player with their own eyes since his disappearance on February 6, 2023.

However, according to a new report, Atsu’s passport, which contained a Turkish visa, was discovered by the rescue team, but the player is still missing.

The rescue team is yet to issue an official statement after discovering the Ghanaian winger’s passport during their research of the collapsed Rönesans Residence.
