Complete list of John Dramani Mahama’s deputy ministers and their ministry appointments in Ghana for 2025 has been released by the president.
The ministerial list comes when Mahama nominated 13 deputy ministers on Wednesday, February 5, in line with his pledge to run a lean government.
Mahama’s decision to choose ministers and deputy ministers aims to provide a more efficient and functional government structure.
The move is part of his promise to limit the total number of ministers to 60 throughout his administration, which he has always defined as “Ghana’s leanest, and I believe the most efficient government ever in history.”
The deputy ministry appointees are expected to assist substantive ministers in various portfolios, playing key roles in policy implementation and governance.
However, in his deputy ministerial and nomination list, Mahama appoints John Dumelo as Agriculture Deputy Minister, who will work closely with Hon. Eric Opoku.
Tamale North MP Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has been named as a deputy minister in Mahama’s Ministry of Roads & Highways, reporting to Kwame Governs Agbodza.
