Reggae/dancehall artist, Shatta Wale refutes claims that his mother is homeless, as he listed all the things he has done for her mum.
According to Shatta Wale, he bought four cars and rented a fully furnished estate home for his mother.
He made the disclosure during a Facebook live video session with fans to address an issue that has been on lips of many Ghanaians.
All of this controversy erupted when Shatta Wale’s mother, Madam Elsie Avemegah cried in an interview after allegedly evicted from her East Legon mansion due to unpaid rent.
She later claims that Dr. Rev. Victor Gadri, the owner of Visa Radio in Dunkwa, offered her a luxury residence.
Many people were asking why self-acclaimed Ghanaian rich musician Shatta Wale couldn’t offer his mother one of his owned mansions to live in.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Shatta Wale has denied all allegations against him, claiming that they were all not true.
The singer explains that people who used to be around him want the public to constantly ridicule him because they fail to appreciate the good things that he has done for them.
“Sometimes when i heard people are saying I can’t take of my mother who gave birth to me? I tell them they are cra.zy… Do you think I’m not sensible enough?, Go and ask my mother, I gave her four cars and rented an estate for her. But sometimes it those who were once my close pals don’t appreciate what I did for them” – Shatta stated.
He also emphasised how his parents booted him from the house at a young age, forcing him to sleep on the streets, but he forgave them despite receiving bad treatment from them.
“Do you know what my mother and father put me through? They made slept on the street at the Accra, circle as well as in front of stores a livelihood for many years. It was Ashawo girls who used to buy me food and clothes. At that time didn’t have a family house”. Shatta Wale concluded.
