Shatta Wale has publicly revealed that he planning to visit Jamaica now that dancehall legend Vybz Kartel has been released from prison.
Since the court dismissed the trial against Kartel, leading to his release, the Ghanaian singer has shared numerous posts expressing his overwhelming excitement.
In his subsequent posts, Shatta Wale revealed his eagerness to shoot a music video for his collaborative single “Mansa Musa” with Vybz Kartel.
He also shared how he has idolized Vybz Kartel, remaining a loyal fan and brother to the World Boss throughout his years in prison.
However, in announcing his intention to travel to Jamaica to meet Vybz Kartel, Shatta Wale wrote; My Teacher is freeeeeeee … I can now go to Jamaica in peace..Loyalty over Royalty Vybzkartel”.
His remarks garnered a strong reaction from fans, with many expressing their support for Shatta Wale’s attempt to disassociate the notion of ‘local champion’ tag from his brand.
