Prince David Osei has issued an unqualified apology to John Mahama following the actor’s controversial statement to the politician.
The apology comes after David Osei insulted Mahama following the NDC’s leader’s declaration as a president-elect in the 2024 general elections.
He labelled Mahama as a drunkard in response to a fan’s agitation on X platform (formerly known as Twitter).
Following the loud celebration by DNC supporters after John Mahama won the election, David Osei jabbed a fan who asked him to stop criticising John Mahama after revealing his aspirations to become president one day.
In his response , David poured his rage on the fan, stating ‘he even voted for Drunkard’ John Mahama.

His statement sparked a heated debate on Twitter, with many urging for authorities to take action against him despite the fact that he deleted the tweet.
Despite being anti-NDC, David Osei now feels his comments were too hash, and he asks Mahama’s forgiveness.
He urged NDC supporters to be patient and allow peace to reign because he was solely focused on his party’s victory, which had led him to his current predicament.
“I deeply apologize if my words during the campaign offended anyone from NDC. We were all focused on winning but now let’s move forward and live in peace. God bless Ghana” — he writes on instagram.
