Afrobeats sensation, Olive The Boy has been under public scrutiny after he was spotted at the manifesto launch of the biggest opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress yesterday, August 12, 2024.
His performance has raised public concerns as fans and loved ones are worried about his act citing cases where the careers of entertainers started dwindling after associating themselves with a political party.
When ace broadcaster, Abeiku Santana queried him on Okay FM on why he chose to avail himself for a political party, the multiple award winning singer reiterated that his actions are all business engineered.

“I have not endorsed the NDC. My performance was strictly business as I was hired and paid just like I do on other shows you see me on,” he explained.
When asked if he was not concerned about the dynamics of the Ghanaian policalsphere and how it’s always switches on entertainers, he said;
“Should the NPP, CPP and any other political party book me for a performance, i will gladly avail myself and give them a show.“
