Ghanaian activist turn musician, Efia has for the first time opened up about her past marriage on the recent episode of Rants & Bants and Confession podcast.
The actress shared into details about her failed marriage which has never been privy to the public including the lessons she learnt from it.
According to Efia Odo, she entered into the marriage in 2019 in a private ceremony attended by a tight knit of close friends and family.

“The man I married was broke and didn’t have anything but I married him because I loved him and I thought love was enough to sustain the marriage,” she admitted.
Despite the private nature of the wedding, Efia revealed that her husband at the time was financially struggling, lacking substantial resources or assets.
She added that her husband was also unfaithful on multiple occasions and his infidelity involved relationships with wealthier women, which he pursued to support himself financially.

“I was young and naïve when I married him,” she confessed. “But not anymore. Now I don’t date broke men. If he can’t provide for himself, why would he provide for me?” – She said
