Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido has personally responded to Ghanaian troll, Albert Nat Hyde popularly known as Bongo Ideas after he made an insensitive comment about his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke.
This comes after Bongo Ideas in a series of tweets tagged Davido as negligent and accused him of murdering his late son whom he had with then-fiancée Chioma Rowland.
The death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke occurred in October, when the 3-year-old was found dead in a swimming pool at his father’s residence at Banana Island.
Even though he drowned, police conducted an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death prompting them to arrest the singer’s workers, including the cook, nanny and other four persons who were present in the house.
However, in the viral tweet which caught the attention of Davido and other social media users, Bongo wrote: “Davido has always been careless and care-free. Blame him for the sudden death of his son.”
Following backlash from concerned individuals who reprimanded Bongo for his insensitive comment, the controversial Twitter socialite stood his ground and defended his comment.
“Davido just sent me a DM on Twitter. I thought he wanted to send me a shout-out, but clearly he was sarcastically thanking and blessing me for a tweet I made when his son passed away two fortnights ago.
“I called him out for being careless and reckless because I believe the boy’s avoidable death was largely a result of his negligence. He obviously does not like it, but that’s my opinion! #BongoIdeas – He wrote
On December 19, Bongo Ideas, took to Twitter to share screenshots of a private message sent to him by Davido.
In response to Bongo’s accusation, Davido only prayed that the unfortunate incident that happened in his family would not befall Bongo, who was quick to judge him after losing his son, about which he had not initially spoken.
