Ghanaian bodybuilder Martinson Ampadu, also known as the ‘Rock of Africa,’ has spoken about his contributions to the success of many Ghanaian artists, sound producers, and engineers.
In a recent interview, Ampadu made a shocking revelation, stating that he trained Shatta Wale’s sound engineer and producer ‘Paq Do It‘.
He made this statement while discussing his career achievements and roles he had played in the Ghanaian music industry despite being a professional weightlifter.

[expander_maker id=“1” more=“Read more” less=“Read less”]In detailing his first encounter with Paq, Ampadu stated that his younger brother, Derek, introduced him to Paq who currently works with Shatta Wale.
He explains that the original beat on ‘killy killy,’ which also features Stonebwoy and Kwesi Arthur, was created by ‘Paq’ from Shatta Wale’s ‘Aye HalfCast,’ whom he trained to become one of the best sound engineers today.
Ampadu emphasizes that, while he was not interested in sampling the song at the time, pressure from Larusso’s manager, Jadon Shatter, forced him to do so.
“I was producing for Larruso, he was underground then so I am the one who brought him under the limelight. The first song I produced for Larruso was Killy Killy and it was boom and that beat big shoutout to Paq” and I happened to train him…. he is the originator of that beat — he said.
The music producer, who has now turned bodybuilder, shares his disappointment with Larruso for ignoring to express gratitude after helping him in attaining popularity during difficult times.
‘After producing ‘Killy Killy’ song, every engineer want to produce Larroso for free because he was everywhere and now they didnt want to come to my studio anymore. All they do is when they go and the vocal is not good they comeback with the beat and they were like you need to retake vocals and remastered it for us. That is why i’ve worked almost on all his songs” .. Ampadu told Gionvanni Caleb on 3FM Drive show.[/expander_maker]
