Argentina football star, Lionel Messi has now reached 1000 goal contribution for his club career.
Messi scored his 701st club goal on Saturday night as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Nantes 4-2.
Since his debut for Fc Barcelona in 2004, the 35-year-old has also assisted 299 goals in Spain’s La Liga and France’s Ligue 1.
Messi’s 1,000 goal contributions came in 841 league appearances, averaging 1.19 goals or assists per game throughout his club career.
Messi scored PSG’s first goal against Nantes at the Parc des Princes, and Hadjam added an own goal to make it two, but Nantes rallied to tie the game.

He scored with a near-post finish in the 12th minute after making a late run into the box to get on the end of a Nuno Mendes cross.
It was the 799th goal of the Argentine talisman’s career in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Leo Messi, Mbappe, Danilo, and an own goal from Hadjam secured a (4-2) victory for PSG after the final whistle, extending their lead to eleven points over Olympic Marseille.
