‘Mmboa You Wanted Ye For A Free Show’ - Kwaw Kese Mock Fans Who Claimed Kanye West Was In Ghana To Perform At Black Star Line Festival

Ghanaian Hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese has mocked those who said Kanye West would perform at the Black Star Line Festival. 

On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, it was rumored that Kanye West was in Ghana and was scheduled to perform at the maiden edition of Black Star Line Festival.

Many Ghanaians were shocked by the news, which was revealed in a tweet by popular broadcaster Ebenezer Donkoh alias NYDJ, that the American rapper would be a surprise artiste at the show. 

Kwaw Kese, in response to Kanye West’s absence from the Black Star Line Festival show, teased netizens for spreading such rumours and revealed why the rapper did not perform at the big event.

“Kanye took 2 puffs of Acapulco and got knocked out. He just woke up …Y’all wanted Ye for a free show…. Mboa mba” — Kwaw Kese tweeted

Meanwhile, the Black Star Line Festival is an event to celebrate all the Global Africans people and their Blackness. It is owned by Ghanaian- American musician, Vic Mensa and Black American artist, Chance The Rapper.

The event, which took place for the first time on January 6, 2023 at the Independence Square, Accra , featured many artists, including Sarkodie, Asakaa, King Promise, Cassper Nyovest, T-Pain, M. anifest and Kwesi Arthur, among others.
