Legendary Ghanaian Gospel musician Esther Smith has revealed why she has been absent from the Ghana music industry for nearly a decade.
Esther Smith, known for her serial hit songs, revealed in a recent interview that her third son, whose name remains unknown, suffered heart disease, prompting the family to move from Ghana to Germany.
The contemporary gospel artist emphasises how his son’s health was complicated by his premature birth seven months before delivery.

She asserts that the son was diagnosed with a heart problem that required specialised treatment, forcing them to migrate abroad.
Smith emphasised how she made the difficult decision to leave her own country, prioritising her son’s well-being over her career and personal life in Ghana.
In the interview, the Ma Wonsan hitmaker stated that, despite the challenges of changing the environment, the relocation enabled her to obtain the necessary medical attention and devote time to her son’s recovery.
When asked how she felt about her son’s health condition, Esther Smith stated that her hope and faith were solely in God, who she believed would do it for her even if it was a challenging times.
Esther, who arrived in Ghana from Germany on August 12, 2024, will headline her debut gospel concert, Twin event..
She will performance in Kumasi at the Bantama Pentecost Church on August 25 and in Accra at the Perez Dome on August 30, 2024.
