Ghanaian pastor Richard Boateng of E-Glory Ministries who prophesied about gospel singer Empress Gifty has publicly retracted his statement and issued an apology.
The man of God, during a live prayer session on TikTok extended an unqualified apology to Empress Gifty and her current husband, Hopeson Adorye, over the controversial prophecy.
The apology comes few weeks after pastor Boateng claimed to have saw a vision about the couple’s marriage.
According to him, Empress needed to apologize to her ex-husband, Prophet Elisha Osei, to prevent problems in her current marriage.
He also states that failing to do so could lead to the dissolution of her relationship with Hopeson Adorye.
In the vision, he reportedly saw Empress Gifty crying profusely while sitting in the sand, alongside an image of her late mother, Agaga, who recently passed away.
Richard Boateng also claimed that Empress Gifty’s marriage to Hopeson Adorye will end if she fails to apologise to her first husband, Prophet Osei, whom they divorced in 2014 following a 10-year relationship.
The pastor had urged prayers for the singer, suggesting that her actions towards her ex-husband would have a spiritual impact on her current marital life.
During the recent live session, the pastor expresses regret for making the prophecy public.
He admits that his approach might have caused unnecessary distress to the couple and clarified that he did not have Empress Gifty’s contact information to personally discuss or cancel the prophecy.
In his recent apology video, the pastor acknowledges the strength of Empress Gifty’s marriage and asked for forgiveness from both her and Hopeson Adorye.
He emphasizes that his intention was never to sow discord but to share a vision he believed could guide her spiritually.
In his apology to Empress the pastor said the below;
“Let me offer my apology to Hon. Hopeson Adorye and his beautiful wife Empress Gifty. Couple of some month ago I gave a prophecy about them and I think it didn’t got too well with them….and then I wanna say sorry and the contents of the prophecy and statement retracted. My prayers are with you, God strengthen you empower you in the Jesus might name Amen.
