Ghanaian international Fatawu Issahaku is expected to miss 6-9 months and the rest of the season due to a knee injury sustained after ACL surgery on Wednesday, November 20th, in England.
The 20-year-old winger suffered an injury while on international duty with Ghana Black Stars against Angola last Thursday.
His injury was revealed by the Ghana Football Association in a statement explaining why the Leicester City player was substituted after feeling discomfort at his knee.
A picture shared online by the player on instagram shows Fatawu on a hospital bed after successfully undergoing ACL surgery, signalling that he will be out of the season.
His left leg was entirely encased in bandages and plasters while posing for the photograph.
“All glory be to Almighty Allah. My surgery was successful and I just want to tell you that I am okay and I am feeling good.
“I want to thank everyone for your best wishes,” he wrote.
With this Fatawu is likely to return from injury on August 2025 for the next season campaign.
Menwhile, Fatawu has registered 2 assists in 11 league appearances so for this season for Leicester City.
The team officials and the medical team are yet to issue ann official statement to address his latest injury.
