Actress Benyiwaa of local Ghanaian TV series “Efiewura” whose real name is Mercy Little Smith has reportedly passed away.
According to reports, the actress died on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, after suffering a brief illness.
Benyiwaa’s sickness and the circumstances surrounding her death are unknown, as she has been absent from the screen for an extended period.

Fans, celebrities, and followers have taking to social media to express their deep sorrow for the actress’s loss and the bereaved family.
Benyiwaa was cast in the television series Efiewura, where she played the wife of renowned actor Kwame Dzokoto, who portrayed as Judge Koboo.

Benyiwaa worked together with a number of actors and actresses, including Ebenezer Donkor (Ketaware), Abeiku Santana, Adwoa Smart, Margret Quainoo (Araba Stamp), and Santo.
The Efiewura TV Series was initially created in 200 and is regarded as one of the longest-running local comedy films ever.
