Born on October 28th in Kumasi, Ghana, Lydia Donkor began her professional career at a young age as an Associate at Acquah-Sampson & Associates, where she handled litigation and legal drafting. 

Lydia was raised by her parents and completed her senior high school at Wesley Girls in Cape Coast, Central Region. 

She is a university graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Political Science from the University of Ghana in Legon. 

She continued her study at the University of Leeds, UK, where she earned a Master of Laws in International (LLM) and Human Rights Law.

She has held several leadership positions within the Ghana Police Service, including Head of Legal and Prosecutions, Divisional Commander, and UN Police Officer in Liberia.
