A photo of American socialite Rubi Rose visiting Ghana’s Jubilee House has gone viral on social media sparking a debate among Ghanaians.
In the photo, Rose is seen dressed in an all-white outfit and poses in front of Ghana’s Coat of Arms at the Flagstaff House.
Her visit and the photo have sparked questions from Ghanaians, who wonder why the country’s presidential seat appears accessible to foreigners while many local citizens lack similar access.
Critics are also questioning whether security protocols apply equally to foreign visitors, as photography is generally restricted within the Jubilee House.
The socialite’s incident has reminded many of American rapper Meek Mill’s controversial visit to Ghana in 2022, during which he shot parts of a music video at the Jubilee House and posed with his crew behind the presidential podium.
The move drew considerable backlash, with many Ghanaians feeling it disrespected the country’s highest office.
