Former Black Star captain Asamoah Gyan has reacted to a reported $200 million offer from the Saudi club for lure Arsenal star Thomas Partey
Gyan reacted with a zipper-mouth emoji to a tweet asking whether Partey should accept the offer or turn it down and try to stay in Europe, considering his age.
Gyan made a surprise move from Sunderland to the United Arab Emirates’ Al Ain after just one season in England
Speaking to FourFourTwo, he explained that UEA club Al Ain made him an offer ‘he could not resist’.
“I was enjoying my football, but Al Ain offered me wages that instantly made me the best-paid footballer in Africa. I couldn’t resist.” he said.

According to Saudi Arabia’s bid for Partey, he will receive a tax-exempt salary of $100 million a year on a two-year deal.
“Arsenal star Thomas Partey has been offered $200 million in wages by a club in Saudi Arabia. Partey will earn an annual, tax-free salary of $100 million if he signs the two-year deal.
Al Ahli, Al Nassr, and Al Khaleei are the Saudi clubs interested in Partey.” In a tweet, former Ghana Football Association spokesperson Saanie Daara reported.

Meanwhile, Italian club Juventus have expressed interest in the 30-year-old Thomas Partey, offering him a three-year deal.
Thomas Partey has two years left on his current contract after joining Arsenal in the summer of 2020.

Offers from Saudi Arabian clubs and Italian powerhouse Juventus for Partey are yet to be considered, but Arsenal are reportedly planning to release the former Atletico Madrid player next season.
