Ghanaian reggae-dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has threw his weight behind Jamaican dancehall artist Bounty Killer after criticising Afrobeats.
This comes after Bounty Killer stated in an interview that Afrobeats does not have lyrics and is simply a topic and melodies infused into the genre.
The dancehall veteran criticised Afrobeats for its lyricism using multiple-award winning artist Burna Boy’s popular song “Ye,”.
However, in response to Bounty Killer’s claims on Afrobeats, Shatta Wale completely agreed with him.

According to the SM Boss, even though he gives the Nigerians their flowers but he believes that Bounty Killer was right when he stated that Afrobeat lacks lyrics.
