Ghanaian renowned presenter Godsbrain Smart, also known as Captain Smart, has stated that Shatta Wale must sue Charter House, the organizers of Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) for playing his music if they had no business with them.
According to him, Chart House should not have aired Shatta Wale’s songs if he had been banned from their shows.
You may recall that DJ Black, an official DJ for the 25th edition of TGMA, played Shatta Wale’s songs at last week’s show in the auditorium, leaving the audience salivating for his presence despite the fact that he did not participate.
Shatta City and Ayoo were among the songs played during the event, prompting attendees to sing along word for word to claimax the event.

However, in response to Chart House’s approach, Captain Smart has backed the singer to take legal action against Charter House for copyright infringement.
He emphasised that the TGMA board and organisers’ failure to exclude Shatta Wale from this year’s performance rendered it uninteresting since fans reacted so positively to his music.
Smart says that Charter House would not have had a successful and beautiful show without the multiple award-winning artist.
He admits that while he can’t comprehend Shatta Wale’s conduct that resulted in his ban from the award in 2020, the organisation does not have the right to use his songs at their event.
“You banned him, yet still used his products at your event… You cannot make it without Shatta Wale, who is the God of Ghanaian music. Shatta Wale should sue Charter House for playing his music, and if he doesn’t, I will instead”. — Captain Smart said angrily during Fab3woso segment on Onua TV’s morning show.
