Ghanaian reggae-dancehall musician Shatta Wale has announced a new EP title “The Voice of the Crown” as a statement of power and a tribute to his roots.
On Sunday, July 20, 2025, the musician took to Twitter (now known as X) to share the good news with his followers.
He posted the official art cover for his yet-to-be-released project, which displays a djembe drum, a traditional rope-tuned, skin-covered goblet drum from West Africa played with bare hands.
Shatta Wale claims that “The Voice of the Crown” EP will be released before his much-anticipated album “African King.”
He calls It the prelude to greatness, a warm-up for an even bigger takeover which the world can’t wait for it.
The “Real Life” hitmaker emphasises that the streets have spoken, and he is ready to answer them with pure sound.
He also highlighted his career journey by transforming struggle into strength and dreams into reality, beginning in the heart of Nima to conquer the African throne.
However, the “TVOTC” tracks and musicians featured on it are not known because Shatta Wale is yet to disclose them to his loud fanbase, Shatta Movement and other music lovers globally.
“This is not just music — this is a statement.
“THE VOICE OF THE CROWN EP”
is the prelude to greatness…
The warm-up before the reign begins.
The streets spoke — and I’m answering with SOUND.“From the gutter to the gold,
From Nima to the African throne… The voice of the ghetto is now the VOICE OF THE CROWN” — some parts of the caption reads.
