More disturbing revelations have emerged, as Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale’s mother, Elsie Evelyn Avemagah, has lost her mind amid her issue with the dancehall star.
According to reports, Shatta Wale’s mother, who is also known as Mama Elsie, has gone ‘mad’ and has attempted to commit suicide to end it all.
This comes after another family member [name withheld] of the Ayoo hitmaker spilt the beans, alleging Madam Avemagah is psychologically unstable since she feels ignored not just by Shatta Wale but also by her other children.
She (the family member) further states that Madam Avemagah’s issue arose after Shatta Wale’s father Shatta Capo cautioned Shatta Wale and his other siblings to cut ties with their mother (for unclear reasons).
Among other things, Shatta Capo advised his children not to care for their original mother, which led to Avemagah ending up in a village where she began to develop mental health issues.
Despite all the efforts and being brought to the family house for therapy after receiving herbal medication, Avemagah attempted suicide several times.

It was also revealed that she was sent back because she was upset and couldn’t handle all of the insults from people who exploited her wealthy son Shatta Wale to humiliate her in the village.
To shed more insight on the situation, Avemagah was spotted blending a mosquito coil which contain pyrethrum powder and citronella substances to drink in attempt to poison herself.
“When he was brought back Accra, she started developing mental problem so we then sent her to the hospital but things became more intense and started saying a suicidal talks by constantly mentioning Shatta Wale’s name claiming to see him”.
“She had attempted suicide for about 6-5 times, the fourth one was when she was being caught mashing a mosquito coil by the house help” – the family member said.

In explaining why Avemagah called out his son, the family member stated that “they did everything they could to contact Shatta Wale, but the musician was nowhere to be found” leading her to address his issue to the public.
