In response to Shatta Wale’s statements about the Play Ghana Initiative, Emmanuel Andrews Samini has blasted him and urged him to ‘shut up’.
Samini, as one of the celebrated Ghanaian musicians actively promoting the project, couldn’t stay mute in the face of Shatta Wale’s scathing tweets addressed at musicians championing the Play Ghana initiative.
Shatta Wale mocked Ghanaian singers participating in the Play Ghana initiative on social media, prompting swift reaction from the ‘My Own’ hitmaker.
Samini responded by sharing Shatta Wale’s tweet, in which the ‘Incoming’ singer questioned the idea of Ghanaians competing with foreign music, citing their Play Ghana advocacy.

Samini told Shatta Wale to keep quiet unless he had a constructive suggestion to offer.
He emphasised the necessity of not discounting the initiative, emphasising that the primary purpose was to promote Ghanaian songs over foreign content.
The seasoned artist stated that he had no objections to the creative industry backing the Play Ghana agenda, which aims to enhance airplay for Ghanaian music.

He emphasised the need of supporting initiatives for the promotion of local musical content because Shatta Wale has a tendency to dismiss everything from others as nonsense.
