Dancehall sensation, Vybz Kartel has crashed the ticketing site of his Freedom Street Concert after several complains from the fans over high ticket price.
The singer soldout the Tier 1 tickets for his upcoming concert scheduled at the National Stadium, Kingston, Jamaica in less than 24 hours after their official release.
Vybz Kartel who was born in Portmore took to social media to announce the exciting news despite the technical issues that left many fans frustrated as they attempted to purchase tickets.
“Gaza Nation I’m sad to report and happy to report at the same time that all the tier one tickets have sold out online, a mean in less than 8 hours, that goes to show Gaza Nation powers.” — he said.
Acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the website crashes, Down Sound Entertainment assured fans that the technical team was working hard to resolve the issue so that ticket sales could resume smoothly.
They then urged fans to be patient while the situation was being addressed.
“Due to the overwhelming high volume orders for Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert tickets, the website experienced a severe crash seconds after it went Live at 3 am Saturday morning. Technicians are working assiduously to resolve this issue and assured us this will be sorted in very short order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Despite some fans expressing concerns about the ticket prices, which range from $125 to $15,000, the concert is expected to be a historic event.
Scheduled for December 31, 2024, on New Year’s Eve, the Freedom Street concert is anticipated to draw a crowd of over 35,000 people to the National Stadium in Kingston.
