Twene Jonas, a US-based Ghanaian social media commentator has extended his support to dancehall star Shatta Wale for being chosen to perform at Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street Concert.
According to him, Shatta Wale’s invitation to such prestigious event is a testimony to his talent and influence in the global dancehall scene.
During Facebook Live session with his fans, Twene Jonas criticised Stonebwoy for not publicly supporting his fellow Ghanaian artist and instead hating him.
He sought the musician to understand that Shatta Wale is promoting Ghana despite his absence from the concert, which will still bring success to the country.

“If it is true that, Stonebwoy is hating on Shatta Wale then he didn’t tried at all. Instead of you to celebrate his (Shatta Wale) success you are sitting back and throwing subtle jabs. It Shatta Wale’s time for this event and maybe next Vybz Kartel can book you. So It’s high time to stop the hate and support each other’ — he advises.
Twene Jonas’ call for unity comes after Stonebwoy publicly dismissed Shatta Wale’s participation in the Freedom Street Concert, saying ‘he is only a curtain raiser’.
The singer highlighted his dominance and how he has performed at bigger shows in Jamaica over the years unlike Shatta Wale who in his view is yet to cement his name in the Caribbean land despite claiming to be well known there.
