Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari cried uncontrollably at the Christian Atsu’s one-week celebration held at Adjiringanor Astro Turf in Accra.
Atsu’s one-week celebration drew large number of famous football players and celebrities to show their support for the bereaved family.
Also former minister of trade now aspiring presidential candidate Alan Kyerematen also expressed their support at the ceremony by donating an amount to the late Christian Atsu’s family.

The most heartbreaking moment was when Sulley Muntari couldn’t hold back his tears at the Week commemoration of late Christian Atsu.
Muntari was seen in a video weeping undoubtedly as he was consoled by former Black Stars Keeper Richard Kingston who was sitting beside him.

Meanwhile, the family of late Black Stars winger Christian Atsu has set Friday, March 17, 2023, as the date for his funeral.
The funeral will be held on the forecourt of the State House in Accra on Friday, March 17, 2023.
