He started his football career at an early age, rising through the ranks of Odometah, a Ghana youth team where he was born. Partey debuted his professional career with Leganes on loan in 2012 and then joined to Atletico Madrid.
Partey was loaned to Mallorca in 2013 due to a surplus requirement in the Atletico Madrid first team. During Mallorca’s match against Sabadell, he made his professional debut.
