Dancehall star Vybz Kartel has reportedly signed a lucrative contract worth approximately $4 million in ahead of his highly anticipated homecoming concert slated on December 31, 2024.
A recent video circulating online shows the deejay in the office of American entertainment and business mogul, Joseph Bogdanovich, where he is seen signing the contract.
This collaboration with Downsound Entertainment, led by CEO Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell, has sparked significant excitement among fans and the music industry.
Following his release from prison, Vybz Kartel bemoaned in a recent interview about how pricey he remains despite being in jail for 13 years.
Some critics believe that his long term imprisonment has diminished his status and influence in the music industry.
However, Burrell took to Instagram on Friday to share the news, posting a video of Vybz Kartel and Downsound boss Joseph Bogdanovich finalizing the agreement.
The video has generated alot of attention on social media as fans eagerly await Kartel’s first major concert in over a decade.
Even though, the venue as to where Vybz Kartel concert will be hosted remains undisclosed however it is confirmed that, the event will take place in Kartel’s hometown of Jamaica before moving on to Trinidad.
Shedding more light on his new deal, sources suggest that Kartel secured $4 million from the deal, however the artist is yet to confirm the exact amount.
