Outspoken Kumasi based Kumawood actor, Big Akwes sparked debate online after comparing the relevancy of ace Ghanaian comic actor, Lilwin and content creator, Dr. Likee.
Speaking in an interview with Poleeno Multimedia, Big Akwes lashed out when he questioned the current relevance of LilWin as compared to that of Dr. Likee taking into consideration the current trend.

The thespian made claims that LilWin, who once dominated the Ghana movie Industry has lost touch in the modern entertainment scene, while Ras Nene as he was called in his prime acting days has taken over as the leading figure in Ghanaian comedy.
According to Big Akwes, Lil Win’s relevance diminished as the Kumawood industry declined in recent years.
He added that the rise of digital platforms like YouTube reshaped the entertainment industry, creating new stars and shifting audience preferences from the old folks to the new generation.

For some years now, the movie industry in Kumasi often referred to as Kumawood has been divided with a fraction hailing Lilwin as the all time senior while the other fraction gives props to Dr. Likee and his team.
