Imoro Sheriff the soldier who was killed in Ashaiman has been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic burial customs.
The body of Imoro Sheriff was brought to the 37 mosque for his final funeral and was buried at the Military cemetery.
National Chief Imam, Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and other Islamic leaders offered last prayers to Imoro Sheriff’s body as the family was seen grieving over the loss of their beloved son.

At the funeral, Ghana Armed Forces personnel in uniform paid their last respects to their late colleague, who was buried with Military honour.
The coffin was draped in the Ghana flag and carried by clergymen, while the military band played taps, signalling the end of the military day at the memorial services. Watch the video below:
BACKGROUND:
Imoro Sheriff, a Ghanaian young soldier, was reportedly murdered by unknown persons on Sunday, February 5, 2023, after being granted permission to return home for treatment.
It was also reported that the young soldier was on his way back from his girlfriend’s house in Taifa to his home in Zongo-Laka, Ashaiman, when the unfortunate incident occurred.

This prompted military personnel to storm Ashaiman community, subjecting residents to various forms of abuse in retaliation for the alleged murder of a colleague.
According to the report, over 184 people were arrested by police, including the alleged girlfriend Nana Yaa and were seen with narcotics during the searches.

In response to the tragic news, his mother stated in a video that she had no idea her son was coming home for treatment and was shocked to learn of his death.
