Ghanaian political commentator Appiah Stadium has strongly refuted viral claims that he insulted renowned business mogul Dr. Osei Kwame Despite during a recent funeral of late Alhaji Asoma Abu Banda.
In a self recorded video, Appiah Stadium addressing the rumors, warned bloggers and media outlets to desist from spreading false narratives about the incident.
He describes the reports as baseless and misleading, aimed at damaging his reputation and creating unnecessary tension.
According to Appiah Stadium, there was no form of insult during his interaction with Dr. Kwame Despite where he told the business mogul “O gyae nsemhunu no” which translates to “stop misbehaving” while on his way attending program.
He emphasizes the deep respect he holds for the media magnate, crediting him for helping shape his public image and prominence in Ghana’s political discourse.
“Nothing can make me disrespect Osei Kwame Despite. He is one of the people who made me popular. I don’t understand why anyone would say such a thing,” he states.
Appiah Stadium also appealed to the public and digital publishers to verify facts before sharing content, urging responsible journalism and ethical reporting in the digital media space.
