Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale, has explained why he deserved to win  ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at this year’s Ghana Music Awards UK.

According to him, Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Samini are all aware that it is his time to win the “Artiste of the Year” award category ahead of them.

Shatta Wale speaking on BBC, Shatta Wale claimed to have worked hard and highlighted things he achieved during the year of review that enabled him to win the highly coveted award over his aforementioned colleagues.

The multi-talented artist also revealed the secret behind his relevancy in the Ghana music industry, urging people to pay more attention to his art and what he’s done and about to do.

‘I will say is my nature of work because i like to release songs everyday, I do shows and recently I had to fill Accra Sports Stadium which has not been done before, the 40,000 capacity. I feel I’ve a few stuffs that people really needs to pay attention to. I people should understand and follow the story and they will know why I’m still the artist of the year, I’m still No.1 though”  If so like i will give it to Black Sherif, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini they know is my time” — he said.
