Aspiring Presidential Candidate, Freedom Jacob Caesar popularly called Cheddar is reportedly set to announce the Samia Nkrumah as his running mate for the 2024 general elections.
Until 7 January 2024, Nana Kwame Bediako was only known as a businessman with a large real estate portfolio and a philanthropist.
But now he’s making a move into politics straight to the top hoping to become Ghana’s first independent president.
Samia was born at Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana in 1960 but was forced to leave Ghana with her mother and brothers during the 1966 military coup that overthrew Kwame Nkrumah and resettled in Egypt.
She returned with her family in the year 1975 at the invitation of General Acheampong’s National Redemption Council government and attended Achimota School.
According to Bongo Ideas, Cheddar chose Samia as his running mate due to his desire to protect the legacy of Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
“Nana Kwame Bediako Cheddar will be naming Samia Nkrumah as his running mate! Gathering that he chose her to protect the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah! Expect the official announcement soon!” He wrote on Facebook.
He suggests more radical approaches to governance using principles from running his corporate businesses, focusing first on the human resources to deliver the task.
If Samia is named Cheddar’s running mate, prophet Ajagujah’s prophecy fulfilled.
He passionately stated in his subsequent interviews that Bediako can only be president if he dates or chooses Samia as his running mate for his party named the New Force Movement.
Ajagurajah then emphasised that even though this year’s election will not be easy, he will win his second term with Samia.
Meawhile Samia Nkrumah is a former member of parliament and once a chairperson of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP).
Bediako presents himself as a pan-Africanist with a strong desire for an African revolution. He is concerned that political leadership across the continent has failed to deliver much needed development.
