Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth has announced a breakup with his wife, Elsie Okpocha.
The multiple award-winning comedian made this known in a social media post on Thursday, December 22, 2022, to inform his followers of his splitting from his wife.
According to him, the reason for his conk out from the marriage is to both have their privacy, but they will always care for his children regardless of their separation from the wife.
“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage” he wrote.
He added: “As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you,”

Recall Basketmouth celebrated Elsie’s 44th birthday anniversary in September but failed to celebrate their annual wedding anniversary which usually comes up in November.
They married in 2010 and both couples have three children, with Basket having one from a previous relationship.
